Tenuta Torciano – virtual wine tasting – Frequently Asked Questions

The virtual wine tasting is a variant of our Torciano Wine School, which brings to your home the flavors of Tuscany in this beautiful season. If you have already took part in one of our authentic Italian wine classes, you already know that this will include a range of selected wines and oils from our production.

The class will focus on Tenuta Torciano Tuscan wines, such as the Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano, Chianti and Chianti Classico, Vernaccia di San Gimignano and so on. You will learn how to appreciate the most famous wines coming from many different areas of Tuscany.

What will be included in my virtual class package?

As a participant, you will receive an email from us to join our live lesson. You will taste the wines and equipment that you will have received at your address so you can taste together with your wine instructor for the tasting.

The selected package includes the bottles of wines presented in description. You will receive confirmation as soon as the order is placed, as well as once the order has been shipped. Once we receive confirmation that your package has been shipped, refunds are not allowed. The tasting date will be chosen together with the participants, so that everybody has received the products in advance.

 

Can I buy a tasting and divide the delivery of wine for more than one family?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept “divisions” on any order, which means that 1 order will be shipped as a whole unit to 1 address only.

What happens if I don’t drink red wine / can’t drink white wine / am allergic to something?

You can choose the package of only red wine or only white wine and the tasting will be done with those wines. Otherwise we can set a special package suitable for your needs.

 

What happens if my wines don’t arrive in time for the lesson or I have other delivery problems?

We will ship most of our wines from our US warehouse via FedEx and therefore will have reliable tracking information. In the event that you do not receive your wines in time for the event streamed, there is the possibility of moving the tasting date for when your wines arrive. We ask you to contact us in the customer service department if you have questions about your order.

 

How can I enter the virtual classroom and set up my wine wall?

Two days before the lesson you will receive an email from our team with the details about the wines and accessories in your package. You will also receive link and the Zoom code to enter the video call.

 

Will I need something from home to use in the classroom?

In addition to a reliable Internet connection, you will need some elements. You can access the stream via smartphone, tablet or computer, however it must be able to support a video chat session. Your instructors recommend a set of large format glasses and a container for pouring wine. Don’t use plastic glasses.
We recommend having bread and cheese but eating between one taste of wine and another in order not to confuse the tastes and flavors of the different wines.

 

Am I able to ask questions or interact with the class?

The streaming platform Zoom allows anyone attending the lesson to ask a question or comment via the chat feature. For the whole class, only the instructor will have the operational video and audio function.
